Student Engineer from South Korea Min-Wook Peng created a robot eye for those who cannot tear a look from the smartphone screen on the go. This is reported by the Reuters Agency. He called his invention to the Third Eye.
“Once we cannot break away from our smartphones, we will use the third eye. This is what the person is looking like,” said Peng.
The device is attached to the forehead and warns the user about obstacles within a radius of two meters. In the “Eye” built-in a gyroscopic sensor for measuring the angle of the end of the user’s neck and an ultrasonic sensor to calculate the distance between the robotic eye and any obstacles. The device is turned on with each triggering of the tilt sensor and makes a beep if the user approaches the obstacle.
on the development of the “third eye”, according to the inventor, went about six weeks. The device is still in refinement: now Peng plans to develop a chamber module for the “third eye” and tie it to a mobile application.
