US: declassified documents and disclosed one of mysteries of World War II

Professor of the Japanese University Nihon University, Hiroaki Takadzavava found declassified US military documents. In them, he found data on the location of the remains of the Japanese Prime Minister Hideki Todze (Hideki Tojo’s), hanged in 1948 by the sentence of the International Tribunal for war crimes. Until recently, these data were one of the largest mysteries of World War II, reports Associated Press.

According to archives, the cremated ash while Todze, initiated Japan’s entry into war against the United States and an attack on Pearl Harbor, was dispelled from the aircraft of the American army over the Pacific Ocean about 30 miles (50 kilometers) east of Iokohama – the second largest city Japan, located south of Tokyo.

Professor Takadzava discovered documents on the death of Todze during the study of other trials on military crimes. According to the scientist, Todze and six more people were hanged for war crimes by the International Military Tribunal in the Far East.

In one of the recently published documents dated December 23, 1948, the Major of the US Army Major Luther Freerson is contained. She says: “I confirm that I received the remains, led by cremation and personally dispelled the dust of the following people. Their dust dropped into the sea from the aircraft of the eighth army.”

The great-grandfather of Hiddeosi Todze, told the publication that the lack of the remains of his ancestor was humiliation for the family, so he is glad that this information was made public. “If his remains were, at least scattered in the Japanese territorial waters, I think he was still lucky to some extent,” said great. According to Hiddeosi Todze, he wants “to invite his friends and lay flowers to pay tribute to Pradeda.”

After the defeat of Japan in World War II, in the Tokyo process of the International Tribunal in the Far East in 1946, the military criminal of the highest category was recognized. Sentenced to the death penalty, the sentence was carried out in December 1948.
