Scientists stated a group of risk of re-infection with Covid-19

People with weakened immunity, renal failure, lesion of the liver and those who undergo treatment from cancer or recently transferred organ transplants are susceptible to re-infectious infection. Researchers from the Scientific Center for the Health of Texas University in Houston, together with the specialists of the Medical Center of Vanderbilt in Nashville, analyzed the electronic database of US medical maps and selected 23 patients to study, re-infected SARS-COV-2, according to the results of PCR tests.

The average age of patients was 64.5 years, most of the diseases such as diabetes, hypertension or immune disorders. Also the predominant part suffered obesity and had bad habits, such as smoking. According to the results of genomic analysis, it turned out that in all cases there was a re-infection, and not the hidden flow of the initial version of the disease.

Scientists noted that 70 percent of patients were hospitalized both during the first episode of the disease and during the second. Thus, experts suggested that re-infection proceeds not easier than the first.

Coronavirus in light form can also be re-infected, researchers emphasized, but the risk of severe disease is minimal. In this regard, they noticed scientists, citizens who suffered COVID-19 in severe form should be extremely vigilant and attentive to their health.
