AvtoVAZ does not intend to suspend production in June, but does not exclude suspensions in the future. This is reported by TASS with reference to Nicolas Mora’s president.
“In June, we will not stop in June, while it’s too early to talk about July, I can not guarantee that we will not stop in the future. But we do everything possible to avoid this,” he said.
Mor reminded that at the moment all the assembly lines of AvtoVAZ in Tolyatti, suspended on June 7, were launched. It was the second suspension of the company’s conveyor for the month due to the lack of electronic components. “Lada Vesta production in Izhevsk did not stop,” he added.
Earlier it was reported that AvtoVAZ refused to consider Ilona Mask Tesla’s competitor due to the fact that companies are located different price segments and have a different audience. So, Lada cars are located in the segment of the most affordable in the country, and electric cars, including Tesla, are much more expensive.
Currently, LADA products consist of five models: Vesta, Xray, Largus, Granta and Niva. In the Russian market, the brand occupies a share of more than 20 percent.
