President of the President of Belarus, Victor Sheiman, resigned, transfers BelTA.
Head of State Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with Sheiman stated that he wrote a report on resignation many times. “I did not agree with this. But I understand that when it comes, you have enough in life. I, honestly, thank you for everything that is done,” said the president.
At the same time, Lukashenko asked Shaiman “not to leave far.” “You see what the situation around Belarus. God forbes us with you to still take an automatic machine and protect the country. Situation is not easy,” the president noted.
In Belarus, several months continued mass protests demanding the resignation of Lukashenko and holding new elections. The head of state itself argued that foreign states are worthwhile.
