In Belarus, the assistant to the prosecutor Evgenia Babak arrested during the protests. He was accused of “picketing by placing on the balcony” of the White-Red and White Flag, reports Telegram-channel publication Tut.by.
Babak was detained by law enforcement officers in his apartment in the Moscow district of Minsk on Thursday, June 10th. It was condemned for 15 days in part 1 of Article 24.23 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (CACA) of Belarus (“Violation of the Organization or Mass Events”).
According to familiar Babak, after dismissal from the prosecutor’s office, he was not pursued and did not cause polls. “Friend friends said that several hours he did not get into touch. I worried and went home to him. The entrance door was damaged, but closed on the castle,” said Roman, the younger brother Eugene. When detention, the security forces tried to hack the door, then staged a pogrom in the apartment.
As reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Ministry of Internal Affairs) of Belarus, Babak was detained by police officers within the framework of the administrative process. “It is known that the detainee, including actively distributed information from extremist Telegram-channels. There are other details of the unlawful activities of Babak,” the department reported.
In August 2020, the Babak quit the assistant to the Prosecutor of the Pervomaisky District of Minsk due to the inactivity of the prosecutor’s office on his report on the inspection on the fact of beating in the uruche of the bikers by people in the form of traffic police officers. After dismissal, the babak changed several places of work.
One of the symbols of protests in Belarus is a white-red and white banner (Bel. “Bel-Chyrvona-Bella Citguod”, BCB). In 1991-1995, it was the state flag of the republic. At the 1995 referendum, most Belarusians voted to replace him with a red-green, resembling the flag of the Belarusian SSR. In January, the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, approved the amendments to the Administrative Code, according to which citizens will be discharged for the use of this symbolism.
