Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in a telephone conversation with British counterpart Dominic Rabab stressed the importance of London’s refusal from unreasonable accusations against Moscow. This is reported on the website of the Russian Office.
According to Lavrov, the responsibility for the unsatisfactory state of relations between Russia and the UK is entirely on London. The minister urged Raab on a mutual basis of “defeat the ruins” associated with the work of Russian diplomatic institutions in the UK.
“The British practitioners are the selective nature of contacts only on those questions that are interesting for the UK, in normal diplomatic practice inadvertible,” they emphasized in the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Earlier, Raab estimated the possibility of “positive” relations with Russia. According to him, “the door for a positive relationship [with Russia] and diplomacy for us always remains open”, however, “Russia’s behavior should change.” At the same time, the British minister allowed the introduction of sanctions against the North Stream-2 gas pipeline in connection with the forced landing of the Ryanair liner in Minsk and the detention of the NEXTA Roman Protasevich, who was located on board the ex-head of the Telegram channel.
