In Belarus, a vaccine will be created, capable of withstanding the future strain of coronavirus. This was stated by the President of the country Alexander Lukashenko, reports Interfax-West.
“We will create our vaccine in the next year, already tested,” he said.
Lukashenko added that there is no need to introduce mandatory vaccination from COVID-19 in Belarus. He added that the corresponding measures will be accepted, “if such a situation arises.”
June 16 reported that the Belarusian Republican Scientific and Practical Center (RNCP) of Epidemiology and Microbiology began preliminary tests of its own vaccine from coronavirus. It is assumed that the development of a prototype will end in the fall and will be launched in production in 2022.
In December 2020, Lukashenko said that Belarus will create its own version of the vaccine from coronavirus. He indicated that the development would cost 5 million Belarusian rubles (about 144 million Russian rubles).
