Russian President Vladimir Putin will instruct Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustina to explore opportunities to increase taxes on international corporations. This is stated on the website of the Kremlin.
He called to look at the example of the United States, where they think about the introduction of a minimum corporate tax of 15 percent. “I, of course, ask the Chairman of the Government, and your colleagues from the economic block carefully to think about it to keep in mind and take into account our national interests,” the President of the Federal Tax Service (FTS) appeared to Daniel Egorov.
Previously, the G7 countries approved the amount of tax on the profits of large companies, it should be at least 15 percent. Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban stated that plans to introduce the minimum corporate tax is absurd and lead to a reduction in investments in the EU countries.
The plan faced criticism and from experts who found serious omissions in it and calculated that in case of its implementation, part of the budget revenue will lose the United Kingdom.
