A third of Russians admitted to constant economy

In constant economy, more than a third of Russians live – 37 percent. Most often, this situation consists of residents of the Central Federal District (47 percent) and Siberia (43 percent), less often the rest are in the Urals and in the North Caucasus – both regions of 30 percent. Such a conclusion can be made from a survey conducted by the Bank “Opening”, TASS reports.

Most Russians – 56 percent – saves only with financial problems. Such a response is often chosen by residents of the North Caucasus (65 percent) and the North-West Federal District (64 percent). It does not need to save only 7 percent of Russians, for Moscow this figure is 12 percent.

At the same time, the coronavirus pandemic did not change the attitude towards saving in 80 percent of respondents. For example, 65 percent saved from time to time before it began and continued now, and 15 percent did not save, and do not save.

In 20 percent of the pandemic surveyed influenced the desire to save. Most often, the inhabitants of the North Caucasus (33 percent) and the Urals (29 percent) are now forced to restrain costs. The least coronavirus and the economic crisis followed by him influenced the inhabitants of the Cao and the Far East – 13 and 14 percent.

Thousands of Russians aged 18-65 years in cities with a population of more than 100 thousand people took part in the survey.

On the eve, such a study presented the Center for the Study of Consumer Conduct of Rotation. A third of his participants confessed to savings on food. As the main reason, they called price increase – 59 percent percent forced to spend on food more.
