The Moon Station of Russia and China will be completed by 2035. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Road map of construction was presented at the International Conference on Space Research GLEX-2021 in St. Petersburg. Information about the lunar station and the timing of its construction was revealed by the Deputy General Director of Roskosmos for International Cooperation Sergey Savelyev and the Deputy Head of the Chinese National Space Administration in Yanhua. Deploying the international project will be held in three stages. On the first, which will last from 2026 to 2030, the ground will be delivered from the moon, and the command center technologies will be checked.
The second stage covers from 2031 to 2035 years. In his course in the orbit of the natural satellite of the Earth and on its surface, systems that are associated with the provision of station with energy and communication will be deployed. Directly at the third stage will begin operation of an extraterrestrial object.
Previously, the Pentagon promised to closely monitor the plans of Russia and China to create an international scientific lunar station. The Acting Assistant Minister of Defense of the United States for Politics in the space industry, John Hill, announced this on hearings in one of the subcommittees of the Committee on the Affairs of the Chamber of Representatives of the US Congress.
The Russian and Chinese parties signed a memorandum on the creation of a lunar station in early March. The planned lunar station is designed “for multidisciplinary and multipurpose research works,” there is a further prospect of the presence of a person directly on the moon.
