Representatives of the Voronezh Center for Rocket Engineering (enters the integrated rocket engine structure, headed by NGO Energomash Roscosmos State Corporation) took part in the international round table “Cosmos as a platform of technological cooperation”, which was held on the basis of the Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies. Along with Russian scientists, representatives of the University of Paduan (Italy) took part in the event.
Deputy Head of the CB on PLM, Candidate of Technical Sciences Timur Kolbaya made a report on the topic “Design Bureau of Himavtomatics – from historical success for modernity,” in which there was a tendency and prospects for the development of rocket-space engines, and also spoke about the experience of cooperation between KBCH with foreign companies.
Timur Kolbaya said in his speech: “KBCH successfully cooperates with leading world firms to develop liquid rocket engines. At various times, contracts with US space companies, Italy, France, Germany were implemented. So, for example, with the Italian company AVIO developed jointly developed. The LM-10MIRA engine on the fuel components “Oxygen – liquefied natural gas” for the third stage of the VEGA carrier rocket. In 2014, in Voronezh, successful bench tests of the demonstrator engine were held in Voronezh.
Further works were suspended by the Brussels bureaucratic machine, despite the active desire to continue the work by AVIO. This engine in terms of its characteristics continues to remain popular in the space services market. We hope that economic and technical feasibility prevails over political ambitions, and this engine will be developed in collaboration with Russia for the European Wearer Rocket. “
In continuation of the round table, Professor of the University of Paduan University David Burigan and University Researcher in Padua Olga Dubrovina presented to the participants of the Italian School of International Research.
