In the installation and test case of the site No. 254 of the Baikonur cosmodrome, the final stage of the pre-training preparation of the multi-purpose laboratory module “Science” begins. Today, June 21, 2021, the joint settlement of specialists of the Roskosmos State Corporation (Energia Rocket and Space Corporation, named after S.P. Queen, the center of operation of the objects of ground-based space infrastructure and the Khrunichev Center) performed a complex of technological operations on docking “science” with intermediate Compar of the block of the third stage of the carrier rocket.
This compartment is part of the cosmic head part and provides a mechanical connection of the module with a head fairing, as well as its electrical connection with the on-board carrier rocket control system. In accordance with the schedule of the staff training program after the completion of the docking work will be held the procedure of control weighing of the model, and then experts begin to the final assembly of the cosmic head and operations to refuel the fuel tanks of the module.
