Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov estimated the state of relations between countries. He noted on the air Youtube channel “Solovyov Live”, which there is no significant movement after the presidential summit in Geneva, but only ten days passed.
The head of the Russian diplomission added that in 11 days stayed in Washington he managed to spend several meetings in the White House and the State Department. According to him, not all requests were satisfied and not all the instructions of the Foreign Ministry were fulfilled, since the ambassador “as at the same time, simply did not accept” and sent to small officials, which he refused.
Pressure policy in Moscow
Antonov noted that the United States will continue to politics in Moscow, including in the issue of human rights, it will become “one of the central stimuli” in relations between states. The diplomat stressed that in Congress there is a certain consensus of “cruelty in Russia”, while the Senate and Congress refused to meet meetings with the Russian ambassador or direct text, or “ignorant silence.”
Returns of dipstality and the work of consular agencies in Russia
Antonov said that the United States does not intend to return Russia its diplomatic property. According to him, the State Department directly stated that he was not going to do this.
The Russian ambassador stressed that Moscow does not prevent the work of consular agencies. He called these statements by “nonsense” and noted that currently there are no breakthroughs in consular work between countries. The diplomat added that the basis for the normalization of relations between Russia and the United States exists, in addition, there is a “mental work” regarding the exchange of prisoners, but there is no practical solution to this problem, it requires a serious study.

Antonov said that the US specialized departments paid attention to the words of the President of Russia that not only the United Kingdom is involved in the incident, but also the United States.

He said that Moscow sent a number of proposals for meetings and dialogue to the American authorities. According to the ambassador, he sent a number of requests, appeals to various United States organizations to meet with the management of certain structures, discuss that two countries should make together for the implementation of the “positive attitude” after the Summit of Byyden and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
