In White House clarified timing of withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan

Press secretary of the White House Jen Psaki clarified the deadlines for the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

As Psaki stated during a briefing, the United States expects that the conclusion process of troops from Afghanistan will end by the end of August.

Earlier it was reported that Washington would finish the conclusion of troops from Afghanistan ahead of time due to strengthening clashes with the militants of the Taliban radical movement (a terrorist organization prohibited in Russia). Later, US President Joe Biden denied this information. He stated that the US Army removes troops from the Afghan territories according to the schedule, and at the moment they are “at that point where they expected to be.” Biden also reminded that a small part of the American military will remain in Afghanistan.

The official conclusion of US troops and the North Atlantic Alliance countries from the Afghan territories began on May 1. President Biden stated that the American army would completely leave Afghanistan by September 11. In his opinion, the military forces of other countries can neither create nor support the local government.
