Denmark is the richest country in the European Union by the magnitude of the financial assets of families. This indicator is 1.88 million Danish kroons (300 thousand dollars). This is stated in the report of the National Bank of the country.

The overwhelming part of obligations is associated with banking and mortgage debt secured by real estate (approximately 86 percent).
