The American leader noted that it does not have solid evidence of this version of what happened. At the same time, he stressed that there are assumptions, according to which the collapse occurred due to the rise in sea level. As Biden explained, this topic was raised relatives of residents at home during his visit in Miami.
Earlier, on July 1, the head of the United States, together with his wife, came to Surfside to inspect the scene and chat with the relatives of the missing. The meeting lasted about three hours. According to Baiden, the conversation with the families of the victims reminded him of his personal tragedy: the first wife and daughter of the American president died in a car accident, and his son Bo died from cancer.
