Russia: extended simplified procedure for labeling drugs

in Russia extended simplified procedure for labeling drugs until February 1, 2022. The relevant decision was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, reports TASS.

This decision is made in connection with the epidemiological situation and in high demand for medicines. With a simplified order, information about drugs is automatically confirmed by the labeling system itself. Therefore, participants in the pharmaceutical market can implement medicines without waiting for the supplier confirmation. It is expected that recipients of parties of drugs will not depend on the delays from suppliers or errors.

At the same time, it is noted that from July 1, 2021 due to the abnormality, this marking procedure ceases to act for drugs imported to Russia.

From July 1, 2020, in Russia introduced mandatory marking of drugs. The path of each packaging with the medicine can now be traced almost in real time – from production to pharmacies and hospitals. To check the goods, the buyer will need to use the application “Honest Sign”.
