Illegal migrants accidentally joined protesting Lithuanians

In Lithuania, illegal migrants from Belarus accidentally joined the rally of local residents against the construction of refugee camps. Reports about it DELFI.

According to the promotion of the inhabitants of the city of Nineishkes, where the Lithuanian authorities intend to build a center for refugees from African countries, four black men approached them during the event. The protesters found out that those ignorantly switched to the Lithuanian-Belarusian border and independently reached the town, but did not immediately realize what was happening here.

“We don’t even know how to cry or laugh. This is another proof that the border is not protected,” the locals outraged. Then they called the police, and the refugees were detained.

Earlier it was reported that the Lithuanian police dispersed protesters against the construction of a camp for illegal migrants at the Military Polygon Rudninkai. Initially, people went to the rally against the construction of the camp, but later began to block the road to the place of its construction, refusing to skip the construction equipment.

Protesters held their positions until the police arrived at the place. The security forces dispersed the perturbed Lithuanians and opened the road to the landfill. Eight people were detained by law enforcement.

On July 2, Lithuanian authorities introduced an emergency regime due to the influx of illegal immigrants from the Belarusian territory. According to Lithuanian border guards, the number of such migrants has grown more than 20 times in comparison with 2020. In the current situation, Lithuania accuses Minsk and Personally President Alexander Lukashenko.
