Pension has decreased in Russia

In June, the average size of the appointed pensions in Russia amounted to 15,822 rubles. Compared to the previous month, the growth amounted to 5.6 percent, but in real terms in the first half of the year the payment decreased. This is stated in the materials of Rosstat.

In January, the real size of the average pension increased by 0.4 percent in annual terms. Then the indicator began to fall: in February – by 0.1 percent, in March – by 0.2 percent, in April – by 0.1 percent, in May – by 0.5 percent. In June, the reduction was 0.8 percent.

Earlier it was reported that the amount of funds in the accounts of customers of non-state pension funds (NPF) by the middle of this year reached three trillion rubles, which became a record for the existence of the system.

Pension accumulations on the accounts of the Pension Fund of Russia (FIU) and the State WEB.RF for the same period exceeded two trillion rubles, and the number of insured persons – 38 million people. Thus, as of the end of June, 75 million Russians had more than five trillion pension savings.

Head of the Non-State Pension Fund (NPF) “Future” Svetlana Kasina earlier stated that the Russians do not understand the principles of the accumulative pension system.
