Russian-speaking migrants must be kept separately from the rest of illegal immigrants in Lithuania from the territory of Belarus. This was announced by the leader of the opposition of the Lithuanian Seimas Saulus Schrudlelis, writes “Sputnik Lithuania.”
He spoke about the danger, which Russian-speaking migrants may be represented for the Baltic Republic. According to him, they “may be arriving from Chechnya.”
“We know the past, we know the story – these people may be sent with a specific task to destabilize the situation in the country,” said Skrunylis.
Earlier in the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania, they declared the readiness to exhibit the checkpoints with armored vehicles near the camps with illegal migrants. The agency noted that such measures will be undertaken if necessary.
On July 26, illegallands staged a riot in the camp in the Alytus district. The local administration reported that migrants abandoned meals and demanded to free their camps.
