US Ministry of Justice announced Russia’s innocence to kiberats

Russia – at the head of the country’s list, from the territory of which kiberataks are made to the United States, but the Russian authorities do not cost these attacks, the Deputy Assistant of the US Prosecutor General Richard Downing said during the presentation in the US Senate. His speech was broadcast on the website of the Senate Legal Commission.

An official of the Ministry of Justice stressed that the American side does not question the unsportsality of Russia to kiberataks, but it doesn’t seem to him that the Russian authorities do everything that can prevent such incidents.

On July 16, it became known that the United States did not blame the Russian Federation in the next cyber attacks on the international firm Kaseya. This was stated by the spokesman for the White House of Jen Psaki. “We do not attribute involvement in this case by the Russian authorities,” Psaki said, noting that the competent authorities lead the checkout.

Prior to this US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken promised to punish hackers on the Russian territory, if Moscow cannot cope with this itself. An American diplomat also stated that Washington collects allies to more effectively combat malicious activities in cyberspace.
