Issue Ultimaker CURA 4.10, package for preparation of model to 3D printing

available new version of the package ultimaker CURA 4.10 providing a graphical interface to prepare models to 3D printing (Slicing). Based on the model, the program defines the 3D printer’s work script with a sequential application of each layer. In the simplest case, it is enough to import the model in one of the supported formats (STL, OBJ, X3D, 3MF, BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG), select the speed, material and quality settings and send the print job. There are plugins for integration with SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Autodesk Inventor and other CAD. To broadcast the 3D model, the CuraEngine is used to broadcast the 3D-printer’s instructions. The project code is written in Python and distributed under the LGPLV3 license. GUI built using framework uranium using qt 5.

in New release :

  • In the preview mode, the material feed visualization is implemented (FLOW).
  • When starting, the display of downloadable plugins is provided.
  • in the FilamentChange script is implemented to determine the depth (position z) and added the ability to use the MARLIN M600 configurations.
  • Double click on the file in the project opening dialog in Digital Factory
Now leads to the opening of this file in CURA.
  • Added support for 3D printers VOLUMIC, Anycubic Mega X, Anycubic Mega and EmotionTech Strateo3D, as well as new profiles (Ultimaker Petg) and materials.
  • Added support for renaming groups in the list of objects.
  • solved the problem with collapse when scaling, manifested in some Linux distributions.
  • In modeling mode, it was possible to estimate the volume of the supplied material (mm³ / s).
  • Plugin has been prepared for direct import from CAD. STEP, IGES, DXF / DWG formats, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Inventor, Siemensnx, Siemens Parasolid, Sirensnx, Siemens Parasolid, Solid Edge, Dassault Spatial, SolidWorks, 3D Acis Modeler, Creo and RhinoCerous. The plugin is available only for Windows and comes with subscribers Ultimaker Professional and Ultimaker.
