Earlier on the same day, the BILD newspaper, with reference to sources in intelligence, accused Russian hackers in a new large-scale kiberatka for infrastructure and banking systems of Germany.

According to the publication, the kiberataks are associated with the Russian authorities grouping of the Fancy Bear hackers. Bild claims that Moscow will thus steamers for the sanction policy against Russia and seeks to prevent tightening restrictions against Belarus.

The German side argued that the actions of the attackers were led by the Russian special services of the General Directorate of the General Staff (GRU). Moscow accusations refuted.
