Moscow and Washington called for reset in the unhealthy situation of the functioning of diplomatic missions. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, reports TASS.
Diplomat noted that Russia offered the United States to hold a major cybersecurity dialogue. The American side replied that the Russian authorities should pre-solve problems with hackers.
Lavrov also added that Moscow and Washington will discuss issues that were raised at a bilateral meeting in Geneva Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American colleague Joe Biden. “We are for the coming days, I hope until mid-July, we plan to meet the delegations that should consider the tasks set by the presidents in the field of strategic stability, control over arms, restrictions on arms,” he stressed.
On June 29, the American Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Washington is ready to interact with Moscow on issues of mutual interest. “We can work together in strategic areas, such as control over arms, cooperation in the field of cyber security, the settlement of regional conflicts,” he clarified.
