State Duma deputy and a former Sanitary doctor of Russia Gennady Onishchenko called to increase the cost of vodka in the country. In an interview with the radio station “Says Moscow”, he explained that the increase in prices should be phased, otherwise the “tense psychological situation” will arise in society.
Cheap alcohol can attract the attention of minors, so vodka should cost no cheaper than 300 rubles, they are sureishchenko. “Remember, quite recently we had this, a few years ago, in Russia the cheapest vodka -” Gestka “- cost 68 rubles, the lowest alcohol was so, now it came out,” the deputy said.
He called on an example with an increase in tobacco prices. In Russia, from July 1, tobacco products have risen in price. The minimum retail price of the pack of cigarettes will be 107.78 rubles. Also from the shops will disappear all unmarked alternative tobacco, namely cigars, smoking tobacco and tobacco for hookah. Thus, the authorities are trying to deal with illegal products.
The issue of introducing minimal retail prices for all alcohol to consider it too early, declared earlier in the Ministry of Finance. With requests for the establishment of minimum prices, the business community has repeatedly appealed, clarified in the department.
