President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon promised to support Afghanistan in the fight against terrorism. This on June 30 reports “Sputnik Tajikistan.”

Rahmon spent a meeting with the head of the lower chamber of the Afghan Parliament. “We will support the initiatives of the government and the people of a friendly, cohesive and multicultural country to establish peace, stability and economic recovery,” the president said.

The parties agreed to take effective measures to combat terrorists and organized criminal groups that are engaged in drug trafficking.

On June 28, the State Committee of National Security (GKNB) Tajikistan reported, in Afghanistan militants from the “Taliban” movement (prohibited in Russia) attacked military personnel at the border and captured three PPCs. Afghan soldiers retreated to Tajik territory, they allowed to pass “from a sense of humanism and good neighborliness.” Dushanbe informed the CSTO about what was happening on the border.

Uzbekistan also reported that the Afghan military retreats to its territory due to the attacks of the Taliban. At the same time, Tashkent emphasized that neutrality and non-interference adheres to the internal affairs of the neighboring country.
