Lesbian in France will begin to treat from infertility

Deputies of the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly of France will accept a law on bioethics, which will allow lesbians and lonely women to begin to treat infertility with the help of extracorporeal fertilization (ECO). It is reported by Le Monde.

The action of the law will be distributed not only to citizens of France, but also for all women up to 43 years old, which are located on the territory of the country on legal grounds. Expenses for the operation will completely cover French health services.

Earlier, Eco in France was available only to heterosexual pairs, which have problems with the conception of the child. Lesbian couples and lonely women had to go abroad to go through this procedure.

It is noted that the law met resistance in the French Senate. It made more than one and a half thousand different amendments. However, it is expected that the law will still be accepted, since the party of the President of France Emmanuel Macron “Forward, Republic!” actively supports it. Representatives of the party and their allies possess a majority in the lower chamber of the National Assembly.

According to BBC News, Eco for homosexual and lonely women is permitted in the UK and ten countries of the European Union. Most often, the Frenchwoman made this procedure in Belgium and Spain. Similar legal norms outside the EU operate in Iceland and Norway.
