The US Departmental Communications version that American civil servants suffering from Havanovsky syndrome could be subjected to microwave attacks in Cuba, in China and Russia, causes doubts. In a conversation with “Tape.ru”, a professor of bioengineering University of Pennsylvania Kenneth Foster was shared.
Foster explained that the facts of this case are not very well agreed with the science of the effects of microwaves. “The only proven mechanism of damage to the brain tissues by microwaves is associated with their excessive heating, which, presumably, in this case was not there,” said Foster.
Specialist stressed that extremely strong, but very short, measured in nanoseconds of microwave pulses, possibly can cause acoustic waves and cranial injuries. However, the scientist doubted that such an impact could cause damage to the brain, while not providing a visible thermal effect on its tissue. Foster added that some of the symptoms described, including vestibular disorders, may indicate the effects of infrasound, but there are no evidence again.
At the same time, the scientist said that on the basis of public data it is possible to conclude that some people really suffered from a certain attack. However, it is possible that the rest could experience the symptoms due to a massive psychogenic disorder: employees of the intelligence and diplotomations – a fairly close community, and these incidents and related symptoms were probably discussed at the general meetings, after which some could “detect” them. According to him, if it comes to the symptoms of a psychogenic nature, the victims can cure quite quickly. “If their brain was damaged under some physical impact, the consequences can be maintained for a long time,” said Foster.
previously became known that the US intelligence believes that the estimated attacks of American civil servants with the help of “directional energy” is Russia. According to the Washington Post newspaper, the attacks were allegedly performed using microwaves or other types of “directional energy”.
Since the end of 2016, employees of American diplomsses and their relatives in Cuba complained about the symptoms as hearing loss, nausea, headaches and equilibrium loss. After that, Washington sent 15 Cuban diplomats due to the inability of the island state to take appropriate measures to protect American personnel. Similar symptoms later experienced American diplomats and intelligence officers in China and Russia, as well as two employees of the National Security Council – after visiting the White House.
