Russia should not import products from abroad, given its agricultural opportunities. Such an opinion was expressed by the deputy head of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, reports TASS.
He also noted that sanctions against Russia forced the country to develop their agro-industrial complex. “We even in principle are quite grateful to these states, because if it were not for these sanctions, then we probably would not have done so tightly to our agriculture, but they would continue to buy food in other countries,” Medvedev emphasized.
Security Council Deputy Champion added that during the pandemic period, the problem of food security escalated even more.
