Tajikistan told CSTO about attack of Taliban in Afghanistan

Tajikistan informed the organization of the Collective Security Treaty (CSTO) about the situation on the border with Afghanistan in connection with the attack of the participants in the Taliban Movement (prohibited in Russia) in the Afghan territory. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“The Tajik side informed today in detail the CSTO’s leadership about the emerging situation,” said Vladimir Zaidadinov’s press secretary ..

According to him, the CSTO will give Tajikistan all the necessary assistance that will be requested from his part. “It may be political, and military, and military-technical assistance,” he stressed.

Zaidadinov noted that while Dushanbe did not appeal in the CSTO for help.

On June 28, the State National Security Committee (GKNB) Tajikistan said that the Taliban attacked the Afghan military in the Balka province.
