Putin and Si Jinping extended an agreement on Russian-Chinese friendship

Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Chairman of the PRC Si Jinpin held talks on video calls and announced the extension of the Treaty of Good Neighborhood, Friendship and Cooperation. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

Former Chairman of the People’s Republic of Jiang Zemin and Putin signed an agreement back in 2001. Moscow and Beijing agreed to extend for five years.

In addition, China’s top management highly appreciated the prospects for the development of Russia under the leadership of Putin. According to the head of the International Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China, in recent years, Moscow has achieved serious success in socio-economic development.

The last time Putin and Si Jinping were seen personally in 2019 on the fields of the BRICS summit. After the start of the Pandemic of COVID-19, they several times conducted negotiations on video links.
