Lukashenko joked about dictatorship in Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during negotiations with a major Arab businessman Mohammed Al-Abbar from the UAE discussed the political situation in the country. It is reported by Telegram-channel “BelTA”.

Investor very warmly responded about the socio-political structure of Belarus. “This is a real democracy,” he said.

“But do not feel that you are visiting the dictator?” – Lukashenko asked a joke, for which, in response, Muhammed Al-Abbar quoted the statement of the South African Fighter for the rights and freedoms of people Nelson Mandela.

“If my children are safe if they get a good education and are optimistic about our future, there is a good health care, a good infrastructure – this is true democracy,” he noted. Lukashenko said that there is already a lot in Belarus, but there is still nothing to work on.

On June 28, Alexander Lukashenko and Arab businessman Mohammed Al-Abbar during the negotiations discussed trade and economic cooperation, as well as touched upon issues of the political device of the two countries. Both sides stressed that the basis of close cooperation is the development of trade and economic ties.

Mohammed Al-Abbar is considered one of the largest and most successful UAE businessmen. He is listed as an adviser on economic and investment issues (personal and state) leaders of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. His net capital is estimated at $ 4.6 billion.
