The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharov spoke on the effect of the coronavirus pandemic to Western countries. Her words report Serbian newspaper Kurir.
The diplomat called the claims of West to the world leadership “soap bubble”. “The United States and the EU themselves are not able to save, but about the fact that they can distribute the world community somewhere, there are no speech,” she stressed.
Zakharova concluded that the pandemic demonstrated the true attitude of the countries to each other in the international arena. She reminded the proverb: “A friend is known in trouble.” The representative of the Foreign Ministry noted that Russia sent hundreds of thousands of doses of the domestic drug from Coronavirus “Satellite V” in the framework of the population.
Diplomat said that it was necessary to openly cooperate with all interested parties, not to close in the “ideological shell” and not wait for the “manna heavenly” from the European Union. “The first months of the pandemic showed the unsightly essence of the Western approach – everyone for themselves,” – quotes her TASS.
June 22 reported that Zakharov called a condition in which countries could be called Russian friends. She proposed to apply to how the relationship between the countries was historically developed, and to the fact that their national interests are observed. “The number of friends is not measured … Russian friends are those countries that do not betray,” the diplomat said.
