A large businessman from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Muhammed Al-Abbar came to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. It is reported by Telegram-channel “BelTA”.
During the negotiations, the Belarusian leader and the Arab investor discussed the economic cooperation of the two countries. Lukashenko stressed that in the context of economic decline around the world, the trade turnover between Belarus and the UAE significantly grew up 110 million dollars in 2020.
In addition, in discussions, they affected political issues. Muhammed Al-Abbar very positively appreciated the socio-political device and a comfortable standard of living in Minsk.
He also noted that the Belarusian economy works stably even in a pandemic, which is a good sign for the investor. Businessman stated his intention to implement in Minsk a large-scale project of the smart city “Northern Beach” for 4 billion euros.
Mohammed Al-Abbar is considered one of the largest and most successful UAE businessmen. He is listed as an adviser on economic and investment issues (personal and state) leaders of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It is also a co-owner of large international companies in the field of electronic commerce, catering, fashion and design. His net capital is estimated at $ 4.6 billion.
