The housekeeping market in Russia faced an acute lack of wood, we are talking about 2-2.5 million cubic meters of wood, which is 30-40 percent of annual consumption. This was told in the press service of the Wooden House Building Association, TASS reports.
Because of this situation, the prices of raw materials began to grow from the fall of last year. Recently, the trend intensified. As of the end of June, the board is three times more expensive than in the early 2020s. For three weeks of the month, the growth was 32 percent.
For this reason, the cost of a wooden house since October 2020 increased by an average of 40 percent. The organization proposed to introduce restrictions on the export of wood, which accounts for about 31 million cubic meters. His reduction by 6-8 percent would eliminate the deficit.
The corresponding appeal The Association sent to the Ministry of Industry to Mae. From July 1, duties will be introduced in the amount of 10 percent on the export of timber with humidity level of more than 22 percent. The solution relates to coniferous rocks, oak, beech and ash. However, organizations believe that the measures taken is not enough, because the material is exporting less humidity.
In September last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin described the situation with the export of wood with words “I do not climb into any gate.” He demanded to tighten the policy in this industry and act on a variety of directions. Later, Vita Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko reported that in 2019 50 million cubic meters of timber were taken from Russia, and in recent years the process accelerated noticeably.
