British scientists analyzed the data on the well-being of two and a half million Scots, which received the first dose of vaccine from the Coronavirus Astrazeneca or Pfizer / Biontech, and recognized the presence of side effects at the first preparation. The results of the study are published in the journal Nature Medicine.
In some patients who received the Astrazeneca vaccine, weak blood clotting disorders and related bleeding were observed. Less often there was a reverse reaction – increased thrombosis. At the same time, the drug Pfizer has no similar side effects detected.
Experts found that the frequency of side effects that are associated with a violation of blood clotting in the graft vaccine Astrazeneca is 1.13 cases per 100 thousand people. The greatest risk was observed in people of older or those who have chronic diseases.
At the same time, scientists under the guidance of Aziz Sheikh (Aziz Sheikh) from Edinburgh University found out that both vaccines are generally transferred well.
As the authors associated with Astrazeneca risks are very small and comparable to those for other vaccines – against hepatitis B, measles, epidemic vapor and rubella, as well as influenza.
May 13 Scientists from Oxford University warned about the possibility of more side effects after mixing vaccines from COVID-19 Astrazeneca and Pfizer. It was found that light and moderate reactions to the vaccine, such as fatigue and headache, were observed much more often when two different vaccines were introduced, rather than when a person was given twice alone.
