Russian Foreign Ministry advised Europe to fear American “Big Brother”

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova in his Telegram-channel advised Europe to be afraid of not “invented Russian hackers,” and the American “Big Brother”, which constantly “peers and listens.”

She recalled the case of a former employee of the American intelligence agency Edward Snowden and noted that recently an exposure appeared on the basis of published prosecution materials.

Zakharova noted that at the end of May, the European Court of Human Rights made a final decision on the case in connection with the revealed Snowden facts of massory of data of millions of Europeans and the surveillance of American special services with the support of Great Britain and Sweden.

The official representative added that the events of 15 years ago were repeated now and explained that the Irony of Fate then Sweden helped to follow Europe, and now Denmark promoted in espionage for Europe and Sweden.

“Conclusion is simple: to fear Europeans, and not to them alone, we need not invented Russian hackers and Chinese Aytichnikov, but their American” big brother, “which he constantly peers and regularly listen to, exposing the myth about his own cyberneuness,” – concluded Zakharov.

On May 31, the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper wrote about the surveillance of the US National Security Agency for German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Frank Frank Walter Steinmeier. According to the publication, the special services of Denmark provided the Americans with access to a special station near Copenhagen, from where the wiretapping was conducted.
