Foreign Ministry told Putin about Russians in prisons

Foreign Ministry has prepared for the President of Russia Vladimir Putin a report in which he spoke about respect for the rights of Russians in American prisons. This was announced by the deputy head of the foreign policy department Sergey Ryabkov, his words reported TASS.

Diplomat noted that the Foreign Ministry collected the materials about Russian citizens prisoners in the United States to meet Putin with the American leader Joe Biden. “The president has a full picture. It is fine, I am sure, knows in detail what is happening and as happens,” the diplomat stressed. According to Ryabkov, representatives of the departments are in constant contact with the relatives of Russians convicted in the United States.

Earlier, Ryabkov spoke about the prospects for the collaboration of Moscow and Washington. In his opinion, continue the interaction with the American side in a well-established coordinate system will not work. The diplomat called on the American side responsibly refer to a decrease in tension with Russia.

A bilateral meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States will take place on June 16 in Geneva.
