France’s authorities were charged with two auto giant – Renault and Volkswagen. They are suspected of concealing the real level of harmful emissions by cars, writes Le Figaro.
In Renault, they stated that they never put the software to falsify the data. However, companies will have to make a deposit of 20 million euros. Volkswagen also rejected all claims. The company was accused of “deception of the essential qualities of goods that represent the danger to human health or animals.” The concern ordered a deposit of 10 million euros.
In 2017, the General Director of Competition, Consumer and Fraud Competition (DGCRF) decided to explore the operation of diesel engines a dozen car brands. They studied whether the concerns do not use special software that hides the real level of harmful emissions.
In 2015, the American authorities were caught in such a deception of Volkswagen, which was the cause of large-scale inspections of autocontracens in many countries of the world.
The American division of Volkswagen has previously fallen under the investigation for his first-herrial joke with renaming to Voltwagen. Despite the public apologies of the head of Volkswagen Group of America Scott Keoga, the company faces a serious penalty on suspicion of speculation with prices for shares.
