University’s scientists in Japan found the dying active core of the Galaxy (Agga), in the center of which is a supermassive black hole. Researchers presented their discovery at the Annual Conference of the American Astronomical Society. Briefly about scientific work is told in a press release on phys.org.
Astronomers recorded a relativistic jet, extending from the ARP 187 galaxy, which is a distinctive feature of the presence of the active nucleus. The discovery was made using the ALMA radio telescope complex (ATACAMA Large Millimeter Array) and the VLA complex (Very Large Array). However, with further observations on different wavelengths, scientists did not notice activity in the very kernel of the Galaxy, which said that the AGI in ARP 187 is already the ground.
as soon as AHI “dies”, the visible minor components of the active kernel become weak, because light sources fucked. However, the large-scale ionized gas area in ARP 187 is still visible, since photons take about three thousand years to get to the edge of the region. This phenomenon is known as the light echo. The kernel itself has become more than a thousand times weaker in all wave ranges.
Aahgo is the kernels in which the processes that make a huge amount of energy occur. It is believed that the source of high-energy radiation is supermassive black holes, which also generate jets.
