Supreme Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrel for the first time publicly called the leader of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko “Dictator”. Reports about it DW.
Borrel expressed his opinion on Tuesday, June 8, during the Plenary Discussion of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. It was about the forced landing of the airline aircraft Ryanair in Minsk and detaining the creator of the Telegram channel NEXTA Roman Protasevich and his companions Sophia Sappa.
“Fully agree with you. We are dealing with a dictator,” Borrol said, turning to the ereptate, which also used this expression towards the President of Belarus.
Earlier, the decision of the European Union to flip Belarus called the threat to passengers. As stated in the Russian Foreign Ministry, such a change requires to take into account many aspects, including not only flight safety, but also safety of airports.
