Income of Gazprom from gas supplies abroad has grown sharply

Since the beginning of the year, Gazprom’s income from gas supplies to foreign buyers has grown almost one and a half times – by 46.8 percent compared with the same period of 2020. This is evidenced by the data of the Federal Customs Service (FCS), reports RIA Novosti.

The cost of gas supplied was $ 13 billion. In physical terms for four months on the pipeline system, 74.8 billion cubic meters were delivered, 15.9 percent more than a year earlier.

At the same time, in April, the price unexpectedly found itself 9 percent higher than in March – on average 185.5 dollars per thousand cubic meters. This made it possible to increase income in a monthly expression by 1.8 percent (3.3 billion dollars), even with a reduction in physical exports by 6.4 percent (17.8 billion cubic meters).

Gazprom expects that, according to the results of 2021, the average export price will be about $ 200 per 1 thousand cubic meters. The total cost of transportation from Yamal to the entrance to the German gas transmission system is estimated at 90 dollars plus a 30 percent export duty from the sale price in Europe.

Earlier it was reported that gas prices in Europe remain on record high in recent years. On Monday, June 7, the cost of a thousand cubic meters on the largest Hab TTF reached $ 349. The main reasons for such a situation were cold winter and spring, a limitation of supply from Norway and Russia, as well as a higher cost of liquefied natural gas in the Asian market.
