Lavrov wanted to resume Russian dialogue with NATO

Moscow is ready to resume dialogue with NATO – to restore the Council “Russia-NATO”, and the contact must begin with the military. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, RIA Novosti reports.

“Let, first of all, the military will begin to talk about what is now the real situation on Earth, including, taking into account the harmonious violation by our NATO colleagues agreements concluded in the late 90s, that NATO will not post Significant combat forces on the territory of new members, “he added.

Earlier it was reported that Lavrov announced “malicious plans” available from NATO against Russia.

On the same day, June 1, German Foreign Minister Haiko Maas called the Alliance to increase “political muscles”. It was also reported that Maas supported the Funding Reform of NATO, which the Secretary General of the Jens Stoltenberg offers, and made a dialogue with Russia. At the same time, he stressed that “the ball on the side of Moscow.”

On May 31, NATO Secretary General said that the Alliance wants to improve relations with Russia. The politician noted that even if it fails to do, Moscow and NATO must support a dialogue, which becomes even more important in the context of difficult interaction of the parties.
