The image of Khabarovsk will remain on the five thousandth bill. This was stated by Virio Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Mikhail Degtyarev after meeting with the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina.
According to him, the current design of the banknote will continue until 2030-2035. Such bills will be issued on a par with the new ones on which images of Yekaterinburg and the Ural Federal District will appear.
Degtyarev noted that the plans of the Central Bank “upset the inhabitants of the Khabarovsk Territory”, and he expresses it from their face.
On March 23, the deputy head of the Central Bank Mikhail Alekseev said that the regulator decided to change the design of ruble banknotes. Thus, the 100-ruble bills will be placed the objects of Red Square, as well as “Charger”, Shukhovskaya Tower and the building of Moscow State University at the Sparrow Mountains in Moscow. It is expected that the first renovated money will come in turnover in 2022.
Alekseev reported that the images of Novosibirsk, Pyatigorsk, Nizhny Novgorod and Yekaterinburg will appear on new cash. It is assumed that Novosibirsk will replace Krasnoyarsk on a ten-liter bill, Pyatigorsk will change Arkhangelsk on five hundredoveless, Yekaterinburg – Khabarovsk on a five thousandth.
