About this in a conversation with Izvestia, the head of the Ministry of Justice, Alexander Kozlov, told.
voicing calculations, the minister recalled that at the moment there are about 29 thousand so-called “objects of accumulated harm” in the country, in other words – about two thousand dumps and 26.7 thousand environmental wells, it is also impossible to forget about sunken ships . According to him, to destroy the most dangerous objects, which is expected to be carried out until 2024, it is planned to allocate 62 billion rubles.
Towing the topic of general cleaning, Kozlov indicated that “taking into account additional funding and setting up the mechanism of” staining “means of environmental payments”, according to preliminary estimates for the project, more than 1 trillion rubles will increase. The head of the Ministry of Environment noted that the priority tasks have already included measures to eliminate 500 wells, the extraction of 79 vessels, as well as the inventory of accumulated harm. The listed events are going to allocate 17 billion rubles. “In addition, we need today together with colleagues from Rospotrebnadzor to develop a methodology that puts priorities – which polygons bring more harm to health,” the minister concluded.
In May 2020, the curator of the garbage reform in Russia – the Russian ecological operator (REO) called the number of working illegal landfills. According to him, in the country at that moment, 1,5 thousand polygons were conducted, which are not in the State Register of Waste Placement Objects.
