Marshow captured pearl clouds

Curiosity’s rover captured on Mars shining pearl clouds. It is reported by CNN.

photos were made in early March 2021. The pictures are visible thin clouds located on an unusual height for Mars. According to scientists, they consist of dry ice. As explained in NASA, pearl radiance is caused by ice crystals that scatter light from the setting sun.

Red planet has a thin and dry atmosphere, therefore, unlike the Earth, there are not so many cloudy days. Clouds tend to appear in the sky over the equator when the planet is most removed from the sun. However, two years ago, scientists noticed that the clouds appeared before the last time and higher than expected. Therefore, instructions to search for similar early phenomena were directed to the mercier. Scientists hope that pictures will help better understand the process of formation of clouds on Mars.

Previously, network users reviewed on the photograph made by the Perseverance, Rainbow. As explained in NASA, a visible arc is a flash from the lenses.
