Lukashenko explained promises of Moscow by gas

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about the promises of Moscow at gas prices for the republic. His words leads the publication “Belarus today.”

“This question is not completely closed. Lukashenko did not call the exact price and only expressed the hope that in the future Belarus will buy gas from Russia no more than now.

Gas price for Belarus in 2020 was at level 127 dollars per thousand cubic meters. In January 2021, Lukashenko said that this year gas from Russia costs $ 128.5 per thousand cubic meters.

Earlier, revealing the themes affected at a recent meeting with Putin, Lukashenko stated that the negotiations were mainly about trade and economic relations. Among other things, the leaders of the two countries discussed compensation for the tax maneuver. “For tax maneuver, we found a junction. Even we are not, and governments, we just agreed on and approved. We will continue to conduct a dialogue and negotiate,” said Lukashenko, but did not lead the details.

Still, as the Belarusian president told, they discussed the supply of oil and gas, as well as cooperation of countries in the customs, tax and military-technical spheres. Negotiations were held at the end of May in Sochi.
