An international group of astronomers created the most complete card of dark matter in the universe, which covers one eighth part of the sky apparently. According to researchers, new data indicate that gravity inside voices – voids of cosmological scales – may not be subject to the well-known laws of physics. This is reported by Business Insider Edition.
Researchers analyzed the results of astronomical observations conducted from 2013 to 2016 using the Victor Blanco telescope in Chile, and rated how dark matter distorts the light from 226 million galaxies. Data processing was carried out by artificial intelligence for converting them to an invisible substance distribution card constituting a quarter of the mass of the Universe.
According to the theory of Einstein’s relativity, gravity was supposed to lead to the appearance of predictable accumulations of the substance in the universe after a large explosion about 13 billion years ago. However, as the map shows, the distribution of matter turned out to be not so much a “lump”, as scientists expected, and more smoothed, which indicates not yet known physical principles.
Previously, scientists of the Copenhagen University doubted the existence of dark energy, which is considered to be responsible for the accelerated expansion of the Universe and is 70 percent of the entire existing mass energy. According to the new assumption of physicists, in fact it is dark matter.
