Russia will announce a number of “unpleasant signals” for the United States in the coming days. This was stated by the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov, RIA Novosti quotes him.
“Americans should proceed from the fact that a number of signals from Moscow – I do not speak in this case about the summit – for them there will be uncomfortable, including in the coming days,” the diplomat noted.
Ryabkov was also indignant to the recommendations of Washington, according to which American citizens with expiring visas should leave Russia until mid-June.
Russian-American relations worsened in March of this year against the background of the sharp statements of the American leader Joe Bayden to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and mutual accusations of creating tension. In addition, on April 15, Biden signed a decree on the introduction of new sanctions against Russia. He encouraged to show Moscow that she would suffer “strategic and economic costs, if she continues or enters his destabilizing actions in the international arena.”
In response, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia published a list of sanctions against the United States. Moscow will refuse 10 American diplomats, measures will take measures to terminate the hiring of citizens of Russia and third countries to the Embassy or the Consulate General of the United States and will forbid American diplomats of the trip beyond the locations of their basing. In addition, the United States has fallen into a list of unfriendly Russia countries along with the Czech Republic.
